A few characteristically careless rants by a Zanu-pf parody account resulted in a Twar (Twitter War) between Zimbabweans and Kenyans on the microblogging site.
Tweets like the three before riled the brothers and sisters from east Africa.
Zimbabwe is a booming nation, we are not unstable like Kenya.

Kenyans should be inspired by our success not jealous. It's not our fault you have serious problems.

Kenya is not a safe stable holiday or tourist destination like Zimbabwe is. #hardontruth

This resulted in a drawn out tiff between #KOT (Kenyans on Twitter) and #Twimbos (Zimbos), born off the hashtags #SomeOneTellZimbabwe and #SomeoneTellKenya.
Most of the tweets showed how little Kenyans know about Zimbabwe and vice versa. More than anything else, all they did was reinforce prejudices and ignorance.
All a bit silly really. For the purists, infuriating.
