Revenge Porn Outlawed In California

The US state of California has outlawed revenge pornography – where spiteful people post nude pictures of their exes online.

In Zimbabwe earlier this year, we had a situation where a Twitter user posted nude pictures of another user on social microblogging site.

Well in California it could result in jail time. It is the second state after New Jersey to come up with the law. In fact in New Jersey it is considered a felony.

The decision comes from the need for the state to protect victims. Sure they can sue but in reality where are you going to get with that.

In Zimbabwe a law that wouldn’t be necessary at the moment given that porn is illegal in every shape and form. Not that many people have been arrested for possession of porn.
