We are hearing that the CHAN match between Zimbabwe and Zambia which was supposed to take place this afternoon in Harare has been cancelled after a real cock-up from the Zimbabwe Football Association.
The referees from Cameroon who were supposed to come and officiate at the match failed to make it because the ZIFA failed to pay for their flights on time. That resulted in the officials missing their flight in Kenya. The next available flight was for 9.30 pm which makes it impossible for the match to still take place today.
This is another monumental fail on the part of the football governing body for the country after they almost failed to get the national team to a continental match last month.
400 Chipolopolo fans had made their way over the match. No idea what will happen now. The match is next week though…
ZIFA is embarrassing.
