Ximex Mall Closes; So Where Will The ‘Boys’ Go?

Harare’s iconic and yet infamous Ximex Mall was closed after expiration of a deadline that compelled all tenants to move out.

The closure will come as a bit of a blow to those who housed their businesses there but some people will look at it as a relief as the place had become a place where the boys of ill-repute hung out.

That is the place where you could get ‘hot property’ – for the unschooled stolen property –  especially cellphones.

Also from the few times that we passed through it in recent times, its condition was just ridiculous especially next to the Joina City Mall.

As to where the boys of ill-repute go to, your guess is as good as ours. The spot was convenient because of location but in reality the city is better without it.

As for what happens to the place next. Someone please make it classy.
