Expelled former ANC Youth League president Julius Malema is reportedly about to launch a new political party.
The party is geared towards pushing a radical pro-black agenda. His aim is to ‘restore the dignity of the blacks’ and reduce the gap between rich and poor.
He also added that is party would resume the onslaught on ‘white male monopoly capital’, throwing reconciliation out of the window in favour of social justice. On top of that it wanted the expropriation of land without compensation as well to force remorse on beneficiaries of apartheid.
Malema says he will not join any other party after being expelled from the ANC. He was critical of President Jacob Zuma and people in institutions such as SARS and the Hawks saying that they were involved in victimising dissenting voices.
This will no doubt make the whites uneasy. Add to that the uncertainty over the health of former President Nelson Mandela who many say is the reason why some radicals have held back from going full throttle.
What remains to be seen is whether he will be able to draw support from the youths in the ANC who seemed to support his radical policies.
