The Zimbabwe-born Patta will now ‘pursue other interests as a freelancer for international news companies’ after her resignation was accepted by management.

eNCA say no final decision has been made about 3rd Degree, for which Patta was the executive producer as well, but it will be taken off air for a while. Justice Malala’s, The Justice Factor will show on both e.TV and eNCA.

Zimbabweans will have mixed feelings about Patta’s departure with those who backed her saying she was a no-nonsense journalist especially when dealing with some politicians from this side. Others will say she was arrogant and sometimes misguided in her analysis of the country.

She divided opinion for sure.

She will appear in her final episode of the show on 14 May.
