Of Sulumani Chimbetu’s High Energy HIFA Performance

Dendera singer Sulumani Chimbetu had a high energy debut on the Telecel Main Stage at the Harare International Festival of the Arts.

Performing to a good crowd on the fourth day for the festival, Sulu, as he is known by his fans wowed as receptive mixed race crowd.

As usual his backup singers danced at high tempo throughout the performance. His show was a mixture of his own songs and those of his father, Simon.

What was a bit disappointing was the absence of photographers taking pictures. They have been a feature of every show we have seen on the main stage so far. There was a missed opportunity for some really awesome shots especially during the dance routines. The ones on his hit song, Sean Timba were particularly entertaining.

HIFA has one more day to go after this one.
